Experience

I’ve spent 30 years in healthcare—in ICUs, ERs, homes, schools, and communities. Before I became a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I sat at thousands of bedsides and made over 12,000 home visits across Connecticut. I’ve seen what helps people heal and what doesn’t.

What helps: being seen as a whole person, given the time and space to actually be heard, and being reminded that your story isn’t finished yet.

What doesn’t: being reduced to a label, shuffled through 15-minute med checks, or told your struggles are permanent.

I know Connecticut—its families, its pressures, its healthcare landscape. I also carry a wider lens. Through marriage, I’m part of a traditional Himalayan Buddhist family that still practices ancient wisdom traditions. This has shaped how I see healing: not as something I do to you, but as something you’re already capable of.

My approach combines rigorous neuroscience—your brain is a physical organ, and like any organ, it can heal and change—with deep respect for your own wisdom. I don’t hand you conclusions. I help you notice patterns, zoom out from what feels stuck, and find your own clarity. Think of me as a mirror: I reflect back what’s already there so you can see yourself more clearly and move in the direction you actually want to go.

I am not here to label you. I am here to help your brain change so you can become the person you were meant to be. If you’ve been let down by the system, if you’re skeptical, if you’re tired—I understand. I’m not here to judge you or fix you. I’m here to walk with you as you get better. Because you can.
