Appointments That Start After Your Workday
Appointments run 6:00 PM – midnight ET. There is no rush to fit a visit into a lunch break and no need to explain an absence at work. You finish your day, settle in, and log on. All care is delivered by secure video. You need to be physically in Connecticut at the time of each session; anywhere in the state works. A private, quiet room with a steady connection works best, and many people simply log on from home. Care That Fits Your Evening explains how every visit fits after the day is done.
A Demanding First Stretch, and a Brain Built to Adapt
The first year of a new job, a residency or graduate school is often the most demanding stretch of early adulthood. The hours are long, the learning curve is steep, and sleep is usually the first thing to give. The prefrontal cortex, which supports focus, working memory and self-control, is also the brain region most sensitive to stress. Even mild stress that feels out of your control can quickly reduce its abilities, which is why a hard week can make a capable person feel scattered or forgetful. It is not a sign of weakness. When stress eases and recovery time returns, those abilities have room to come back. Your brain is built to adapt. The same flexibility that lets it learn a new field so quickly also makes it responsive to rest, support and care. Because sleep is one of the strongest levers for mood, focus and calm, Michael pays close attention to it in every plan.
Steadier Calm and Clearer Focus
Many people come for help building focus or finding calm. Care can focus on what you are working through, such as worry, tension, sleep or a racing mind, without a diagnostic label. Low mood and worry use the same brain resources as attention, and care that steadies them often helps focus at the same time. Lasting Calm, Built on Brain Biology explains anxiety and panic care without benzodiazepines, and Building Focus Without Stimulants explains non-stimulant ADHD care. No controlled substances are prescribed in this practice, by design. If you take a stimulant or a benzodiazepine now, the prescriber who manages it stays involved, and any change is planned with that prescriber.
One Clinician for Therapy and Medication
Evening care also means direct access to the person who prescribes. The same clinician evaluates you, designs the plan with you and follows up with you over time. You can choose therapy and medication management with one provider, medication management while you keep your own therapist, or brief check-ins once things are stable. Plans combine medication when it helps, supportive therapy, and sleep, movement and nutrition. Care begins with a full evaluation, 60 to 90 minutes, and follow-up visits are 30 or 60 minutes.
